This energetic piece for string orchestra grew out of a short fiddle melody that I wrote for a friend’s wedding which was an outdoor event in the Tennessee hills. Stumpjumper captures this same essence of the forests of Appalachia in a rich, cinematic sweep. 7 minutes.
