Description

“Original Errata” is the title of a collection of poetry by one of my favorite poets, Lynn Powell. Her words embody a condition of competing desires and states of being: desire & meditation, passion & death, youth & wisdom. It is specifically these dualities that I attempt to reckon with in my own work, and especially in this short solo for cello. An otherworldliness is mixed with earthiness in the form of extended techniques and folk-music patterns. 5 to 6 minutes.
