Description

A set of 12 variations for clarinet and piano based on the signs of the Zodiac, reflecting on characteristics of each sign particularly as they exhibit as one’s “moon sign”, and progressing chronologically through musical styles of the 18th through the 21st centuries. This piece was scheduled to be premiered at the 2020 International Clarinet Convention at Lake Tahoe, but the Covid-19 “Corona Virus” pandemic necessitated a premiere in Chattanooga, TN which is where both I and Dr. Nikolasa Tejero (who commissioned the piece) both live and work. 15 minutes.
