Description
Inspired by an afternoon playing in the creeks and woods of the Tennessee mountains. This piece for string quartet is a reworking of much of the material of an earlier duo for flute and guitar. Driven by a propulsive, childlike energy, this short, 5-movement piece features some complex, dancelike rhythms, beautiful jazz-inspired harmonies, and a haunting violin melody in the second movement. 11 minutes.
